1. About Pronet Carports and Shadeports

Pronet Carports and Shadeports is a carport and shadeport installation business based in Pretoria, Gauteng, South Africa, trading since 1989. These Terms and Conditions apply to all website visitors, inquiry submissions, and customers who engage Pronet Carports and Shadeports for installation services. By using this website or requesting a quote, you agree to these Terms.

2. Website Use

This website is provided for informational purposes and to facilitate contact with Pronet Carports and Shadeports. You may use this website for lawful purposes only. You must not use this website to transmit spam, malicious code, or any content that infringes on the rights of third parties. Pronet Carports and Shadeports reserves the right to restrict access to this website at its discretion.

Pricing information on this website, including any indicative ranges provided, is for guidance only and does not constitute a binding quotation. A firm written quote is provided only after a free site assessment at your property.

3. Quotations and Contracts

All quotations issued by Pronet Carports and Shadeports are firm and valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated in writing. A quote becomes a binding contract when accepted in writing by the customer and signed by an authorised representative of Pronet Carports and Shadeports. Verbal acceptances are not binding on either party.

Pronet Carports and Shadeports reserves the right to withdraw or revise a quote where site conditions materially differ from those assessed, where required materials become unavailable, or where the customer makes material changes to the scope of work after acceptance.

4. Installation and Site Conditions

The customer is responsible for ensuring that the installation site is accessible, that all necessary permissions from body corporates, HOAs, and local authorities have been obtained before installation commences, and that the site is free from underground services that could be damaged by foundation work. Pronet Carports and Shadeports will make reasonable enquiries regarding underground services but bears no liability for damage to undisclosed or unidentified services.

Where site conditions differ materially from those assessed at the time of quotation, Pronet Carports and Shadeports reserves the right to revise the quoted price in writing before proceeding. The customer may accept the revised price or cancel the contract without penalty in this event.

5. Payment Terms

Payment terms are as specified in the written quotation or installation agreement. Where a deposit is required, installation will not be scheduled until the deposit has been received and cleared. Final payment is due on completion of installation unless otherwise agreed in writing. Pronet Carports and Shadeports reserves the right to charge interest on overdue amounts at the prescribed rate under the National Credit Act.

6. Warranty

Pronet Carports and Shadeports provides a 3-year workmanship warranty on all installations, covering defects arising from installation workmanship. Structural components carry the manufacturer's warranty where applicable. The warranty does not cover damage caused by acts of nature including hailstorms, floods, or extreme wind events beyond the design loading specification, wilful damage, unauthorised modification, or normal wear and tear.

Warranty claims must be submitted in writing to sales@pronetshadeports.co.za within the warranty period. Pronet Carports and Shadeports will inspect the claimed defect within a reasonable timeframe and, where the claim falls within the warranty terms, repair or replace the defective component at no charge.

7. Liability

The liability of Pronet Carports and Shadeports for any claim arising from the supply or installation of a structure is limited to the value of the work performed. Pronet Carports and Shadeports is not liable for consequential, indirect, or special damages including loss of income, loss of use, or any damage to vehicles or property arising from structural failure beyond the terms of the warranty. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury arising from negligence.

8. Cancellation

A customer may cancel an accepted quotation before installation commences by providing written notice. Where materials have already been ordered or fabricated, the customer will be liable for the cost of materials and any reasonable fabrication costs incurred up to the date of cancellation. Cancellation after installation has commenced is not permitted except by written agreement, and the customer will be liable for all work completed and materials used to the date of cancellation.

9. Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including text, images, logos, and layout, is the property of Pronet Carports and Shadeports or is used under licence. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any content from this website for commercial purposes without prior written permission.

10. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes arising from these Terms or from services provided by Pronet Carports and Shadeports will be subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts. The parties agree to attempt to resolve disputes amicably before initiating formal legal proceedings.

11. Changes to These Terms

Pronet Carports and Shadeports reserves the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. The current version will always be published on this page with the date of last update. Continued use of this website after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
